The Problem:

Acne develops when the sebaceous glands in the skin produce excess oil. This oil combines with cells that line the gland walls, clogging the skin’s pores. Normal skin bacteria colonize these pores causing the inflammation and redness that we associate with acne.

The bacteria responsible for this inflammation (known as P.acnes), produces natural chemicals called porphyrins, which are sensitive to the wavelengths (colours) of light used by Omnilux CLEAR.

The Omnilux CLEAR Solution:

The blue wavelength (415nm) neutralises the bacteria that cause the redness and inflammation
associated with acne. Combined with the anti-inflammatory properties of red light (633nm),
Omnilux CLEAR helps eliminate or significantly reduce active acne breakouts.

Recommended Use:

Four x 10-minute treatments per week for 6 weeks. Once the initial series is complete, use

Is Omnilux Clear safe to use?

Over 40 clinical studies and nearly 20 years of experience have proven that Omnilux light therapy is safe for people over 14 years old and all skin types*, with no pain and no downtime. Omnilux Clear generates no heat or UV light.

*Please note that people with a predisposition to pigmentation or photosensitivity and people with darker skin tones (types IV, V and VI on the Fitzpatrick Scale) may experience transient pigmentation with blue light therapy. This is often short-lived and resolves on its own in most cases with discontinued use. If there are any concerns, we recommend consulting your professional skincare provider.

Can I use Omnilux Clear with my current skincare products?

Omnilux CLEAR is compatible with most skin care routines, however, we do not recommend using your device in conjunction with Accutane or retinol products. We recommend speaking with your prescribing physician before using the Omnilux CLEAR with prescribed products.

How long does it take LED light therapy to work?

Improvements in skin conditions vary, as everyone’s skin is different and requires different needs. In all cases, we recommend using the Clear device for 4 treatments per week for 6 weeks. You may notice that at the end of the 6 weeks, you still have breakouts, we recommend taking a break from the device and starting back up with treatments after a couple of weeks
